As a collective security organisation, NATO procures goods and services from registered contractors in NATO member countries, as well as from non-NATO countries (partner countries or countries participating with troops in NATO-led operations). NATO's procurement process is managed by a specialised agency, is governed by the organisation's internal policies and is available through a transparent public tendering system. Projects can be implemented in NATO countries, partner countries, external theatres of operations (NATO military operations) or exercise areas. The registration of potential contractors from NATO member countries involves a procedure that includes validations by the NATO agency and by relevant authorities in the contractors' countries of residence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n UN (UNITED NATIONS)<\/b><\/p>\r\n Procurement of goods and services forms the working basis of the UN Agencies and other entities, in areas such as humanitarian action, disaster response, crisis management, including peacekeeping operations, various development projects, all over the world. Procurement budgets of UN entities are decentralised, but policies are generally uniform. Any company in the world can become a UN contractor, following a process of registration, qualification and internal adaptation to the organisation's requirements.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
